Week 4.

Brochures:

The images to the left is the first attempt at a brochure design I really like how the negative space is working but I do not like the size of the columns.
The images to the right my second attempt, I like the writing in this one a lot more as the lines are longer, though  I have already decide I do not want to use that imagery but testing another style helped me decide I the text better.
The cover is just a place holder at the moment as it isn't enticing and you wouldn't want to pick it up if it were among others.

Week 4.

Carrying on from my first designs I have developed them. I feel I had I good illustration to start with and all I need to do was fine tune it.
I wanted to add a bit of colour to make it strong and engage the audience. I struggled with the charter illustration as the first boat was just getting lost amongst all the other imaginary, I still haven't decided which one I prefer but I feel they are both better than the last one, changing the silhouette of the boat and adding people fishing from it.

After talking to the tutors they recommended trying sunrises/sunsets instead of the coloured circles. I feel this my be to much but will try it. Now I need to start think about the layout of the brochure and the front cover.

Week 4.

Even though I felt theses compositions weren't going anywhere I wanted to see if instead of using a solid square background breaking the shape would help. I cut a wave out of each location, one solid and one faded. I still feel they don't work so I'm just going to leave them and carry on if the others.
